in San Francisco. C AND L's first feature, COFFEE AND LANGUAGE, was described by
VARIETY as "brilliant ... unpredictable sorties into words and ideas at their most liberating
and emotionally striking".

A preliminary version of STEPHANIE'S IMAGE, C AND L's narrative feature starring Melissa Leo,
is now complete. Ms. Leo won Breakthrough Actor of the Year at the recent IFP Gotham Awards
and has been nominated for a 2009 Spirit Award and SAG Award as Best Actress for her
performance in FROZEN RIVER (director, Courtney Hunt).
Also, a preliminary version of MEETING WITH CHEKHOV, a short documentary with Libby Appel,
has been completed. More information coming soon.
SEX AND IMAGINING, a new feature from Coffee and Language, is now in post production and
scheduled for completion in 2009.
Chopper Bernet (C AND L, GAMBLING, BELIEF) recently completed his directorial debut with
